TIME
IS OUR
 GREATEST RESOURCE

THE TENSTRONG CALENDAR
Calendars are time management systems
that organize our days into living cycles
and so they form the foundations
of who we are as a culture.
The Tenstrong calendar
has been created to
optimize our
use of
TIME
as a
valuable
cultural resource,
 it is presented here as
an integral part of the social
and economic changes that must
be made so humanity can move forwards
to make our world a better place for everyone.

It was predicted that 2012  was a marker for the end of a long time cycle and time would cease to exist as we have known it in the past.
We are also on the cusp of the age of Aquarius but the transition to a new paradigm still depends on all of us  shifting our mindset, consciousness and energy to align with the  character, values and frequency of the new paradigm
BY USING THE TENSTRONG CALENDAR IN 2019 YOU WILL HELP HUMANITY MOVE FORWARD TO OUR
 NEW DAWN
 OF
TIME

"The Tenstrong
calendar puts time back into
the hands of people so we can explore
our potential as human beings". The calendar
was created by exploring the functional potential of
a calender as a fully utilized social and cultural system. It
has been designed to use our time more effectively and to
support our goals to live fulfilling lives in a sustainable world.
The Tenstrong Calendar unites all people as one race within a
common unifying global cultural system as it advocates for core
human values and principals which are recognized by all people.

 OUR CALENDAR
 IS OUR GREATEST
CULTURAL RESOURCE

THE TENSTRONG CALENDAR
The Tenstrong calendar provides a cultural framework that reflects and supports the holistic attitude of our time.
THE IMPACT OF A CALENDAR STRUCTURE
A calendar system organizes our greatest resource, which is our time.  Most importantly our calendar system defines the number of days in our living cycle, currently our world calendar revolves in cycles of seven days which we call the seven days of the week. This number of days essentially frames our living cycle and reflects who we are as a culture. Is it ironic that we call this cycle of time The Seven Days of The Week (WEAK)

The Tenstrong calendar is a decimal calendar system where our living cycle is  ten days long. This shift in the length of our living cycle is essential if we are to maximize the full potential of our calendar as a fully utilized cultural system.
There are many reasons why a ten-day living cycle is the most appropriate option for our global calendar. The symbolism of the number ten is universally recognized as the optimum number because it is the total number of  the single digit numbers and zero. The number ten completes the cycle of numbers which we use in our decimal counting system which we use to make sense of and organise our world. It is understood that numbers are in essence the foundations of nature, so if nature revolves in cycles of ten doesn't it makes sense that our living cycle should reflect the foundational cycle of nature?
The number ten also makes reference to the fact that ten is intrinsic to the human identity as nature has provided us with ten fingers and ten toes. The word ten is of Latin origin and its original meaning refers to the act of holding, balancing and supporting all descriptive words that relate to the intention of our current time.

THE TENSTRONG CALENDAR STRUCTURE

The Ten Strong calendar revolves around a ten day living cycle. Each living cycle will be known as a Strong. Three living cycles(Strongs) will make one month, each month totaling thirty days. Twelve months in the year totaling 360 days. The remaining five or six days will simply be end of year transitional days. This structure will create a perpetual calendar system that is more practical and more efficient than the current one.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF CALENDARS

The idea of living within a ten day living cycle is not unusual in actual fact it is probably the most common amount of days for a cultures living cycle. This ten day structure described above is the same structure used by the Egyptian civilization which lasted for thousands of years. The Romans had a eight day calendar before Constantine introduced the current seven day calendar to the western world in 313A.D.
The ancient Assyrians developed the first seven day calendar. Their logic was to honor the days in their living cycle in recognition of the seven gods they observed moving in the sky above, the sun, the moon and the five planets Mercury, Venus, mars, Jupiter and Saturn. If the ancient Assyrians had the same knowledge as we have today about our solar system they would have made their calendars living cycle ten days in duration to. Because if we include Uranus and Neptune and the earth itself we have eight  planets our moon and the sun giving us 10 parts in total.

WHY WE NEED REFORM
WORK/LIFE BALANCE
AND REDEFINING OUR WAY OF LIFE

The main idea of the Tenstrong calendar is to unite all people as one within a common cultural system and equally as important it aims to put time back into the hands of people by creating a culture where we have more time to live, attend to our needs and enjoy life.

One of the major issues of the modern world is not having enough time to do the things we need to do to live fulfilling lives. The first step towards getting balance back into our life/time cycle will be through putting time back in people's hands. This will be done by reducing the full time working hours in each living cycle. Within the Tenstrong calendar system it is proposed that no more than 5 days of the ten day cycle should be used for payed work. This will alleviate the work load of the current full time work commitment while creating jobs for people who are out of the work.
This will help bring our way of living back towards a more balanced state where social cohesion, personal development and environmental sustainability are valued more over making
money. This re-balancing will allow people to feel more control over their own lives while still feeling they are contributing to the
overall well-being of the community.

In recent history we have experienced the industrial revolution and the technological boom; both have transformed the work place and production output. As a consequence we do not suffer from lack of produce. But we are suffering from lack of jobs as machines have replaced jobs traditionally done by human labor.
We have in effect over-production, over-consumption and under- employment. This has resulted in an ever increasing gap between the rich and poor.

This is causing great stress mentally, socially and environmentally. Its neither wise nor necessary to live this way, yet we still try and get people into full-time employment and increase levels of productivity. Now is the time to take the foot off the pedal and slow down. Why should we continue to try and fill jobs that are not there
or work more than we have to? Especially when we understand that overworking and unemployment is our greatest source of stress, depression and mental breakdowns, it makes no sense.

OUR NEW PARADIGM OF EXISTENCE

The Tenstrong calendar as a cultural reference aims to take our primary motivation away from working for monetary reward and to redirect our time and motivation to sustainability, altruism and exploring the spiritual potential of humanity both individually and as a global family.

Our calendar not only structures and creates the pace and pattern of our existence it can be our greatest cultural resource. As it further defines who we are by the names we give to each day and month in the system. Each day name is a valuable cultural reference that should reflect who we are and what we believe in and therefore act to reinforce and support our cultural values.

THE TENSTRONG CALENDAR
AS A GLOBAL CULTURAL RESOURCE

In the most commonly used global calendar today - the English language version of the Gregorian calendar - the days are named in honor of Norse and Roman gods, this highlights how outdated our calendar is.
Each day's name in the Tenstrong calendar references core human values and qualities that are relevant to our world today. To further reinforce the holistic idea of the Tenstrong calendar each day's name has the word ten within its construction. The word ten is of Latin origin and its original meaning refers to the act of holding, balancing and supporting all descriptive words that relate to the intention of our current time.

Day 1

 Co existence day

This day refers to the fundamental nature of reality, that all life is interconnected. In our present time humanity has become one global family interconnected through technology and our growing spiritual awareness. Co-existence is about human unity and a common understanding that we are interconnected as one and as one we should live, work, play and create for the common good of all people. Our common goal in life is to increase the quality of our existence by exploring our potential.

The notion of Coexistence is recognized as a fundamental truth in science. In the realms of quantum physics which explores the nature of sub atomic particles. Science has discovered that all things are ultimately connected. At a particular level known as the plank scale or point zero everything in existence is connected by and manifests from one field of potential energy. Within this field science has observed the unified nature of our world through the behaviour of sub atomic particles seen in relationships described as entanglement or super positioning. In these relationships if one particle is affect by a force the same force is observed in another seemingly disconnected particle. This ultimately affirms the idea that space is not something that separates things but something that connects things together and all things are ultimately one part of a bigger universal oneness.

Day2

Intention day

This day refers to the idea of intentional living, to live with purpose and an awareness of what and why we do the things we do. Our thoughts and our intentions are the foundations of our being. Everything we have created comes from thinking. The process of thinking is an exploration of our options. When we live intentionally we fully consider what and why we do the things we do. Our intention becomes our motivation, plan of action and interaction with the world.
In quantum physics it is understood that at the level of sub atomic particles our underlying reality is a field of potential energy. What is manifested and becomes real in our world is directly related to our thoughts , intentions and expectations.
Not only do our thoughts affect what manifests in the physical world our thoughts also affect our own sense of well-being. It is understood that different thoughts release different chemical hormones from within our brains. These hormones impact on our cells and subsequently effect and generate how we feel. Particular states of being are directly related to particular ways of thinking. This can be simply understood when we think of the laws of karma. As positive thoughts will generate good feelings and well-being and negative thoughts will generate bad feelings and ill-health.

Day 3

Sustenance day

This day refers to our basic needs for physical survival. Our physical health and mental health are inter-related as understood by the understanding of day 2.
In the physical plane of existence we need clean air, water and sunshine.
To maintain the well-being of our bodies we need a balanced nutritional diet along with moderate physical exercise and to maintain mental and spiritual well-being we need to feed our mind with a humanitarian ethos and a non-judgemental approach to life.

Day 4

Tenancy day

This day refers to our position as tenants on our planet. Our responsibility as tenants is to look after our planet and ecosystems for the next generations so they can enjoy its beauty and diversity to.
We must endeavour to work with nature not against it, to focus on eliminating pollution and adopting sustainable energy practices, to be self sufficiently where possible, to utilize our gardens to grow our own vegetables and fruits.
Our individual and community health depends on our ability to maintain the health and balance of our natural environment and the diversity of life within our ecological systems.

                                               Day 5
Intensity day

This day refers to the strength of feeling in our community, our compassion towards one another and our attitudes to the social roles we perform.
Our collective states of mind generate the total feeling and vibe of our communities. We are all personally responsible for the choices we make, the jobs we do and the manor an attitudes we have as we go about our daily lives.
The roles we choose to play should be practical and driven by our intention to increase our collective well being.
Compassionate communities create feelings of belonging, security and trust.
Everyone is essentially an artist taking part in creating the greatest and most precious artwork of all, our world.

Day 6

Attentiveness day

This day refers to the powers of focus and our ability to prioritise and carry out tasks. As individuals we are the gatekeepers of our minds. We have to know our self, our thoughts, our actions, we have to be honest, be self reflective, make changes and govern ourselves with the view to evolve as individuals. When we are mind-full of our thoughts we can evaluate them and discern there quality or relevance to our situation.

Day 7

Enlightenment day

This day refers to the process of expanding our understanding of self and the world through observation, listening, insight and analysis . Its about developing understanding and centering our consciousness. All external events, happening and situations are only opportunities to learn and expand our understanding of who we are and the world we live in.
Knowledge and understanding are the foundations needed to maintain a peaceful state of mind in a seemingly chaotic world. By looking at the world from all perspectives will be able to see it in its entirety. Enlightenment is freedom from the stress and anxiety of not knowing, it is unity between science and spirituality.

Day 8
Tenacity day

This day refers to our  inner drive and our will to follow our hearts. It is through this drive that we experience our superior will that help us evolve as human beings. When we aligning ourselves with this driving force we maintain our sense of optimism and hope, it is the power that helps us through any storm.

Day 9

 Contentment day

This day refers to self control, balance and moderation, to live sustainably and share out resources. To be satisfied with our achievements and always make time to just enjoy living, appreciating nature, resting and maintaining peace of mind.

Day 10

Ten Strong day

This day refers to our new identity. As conscientious people who look after each other and the planet we live on. Where we intend to enjoy a balanced life and have time to explore our own potential.

SHOULD WE CONTINUE TO LIVE
IN
THE SEVEN DAYS OF THE WEAK?
 OR CHANGE
TO THE TEN DAYS OF THE STRONG?

ITS YOUR CHOICE

The TENSTRONG  CALENDAR is a transitional dual calendar where both TENSTRONG and SEVEN day cycles can be referenced together. The days are structured in ten day cycles and the tenstrong day names are at the top of each column at the same time each calendar day box references the seven days of the week.

TRANSFORMING OUR WORLD
"The simple act of paying attention to what we do with our time( intentional living) will be the key factor that will help us in our transition to a new and better way of living.

The transformation to a resource based economy and a better way of living is already underway.
We can help speed up our transition by showing support to the cultural values we believe in. The Tenstrong calendar supports the ethics and vision of a resource based economy and can be used in conjunction with our current seven day calendar during our transitional period. By using the calendar it will help our new cultural identity grow and build a bridge towards a fully functioning resource based economy in the future.

ZEITGEIST
Is the name of a global movement for positive change
The word ZEITGEIST translated means TIME-SPIRIT which refers to the Spirit of our Time. It describes the collective spiritual and intellectual conscience at a particular time that motivates people's behavior to shape society in a particular way. There is no doubt that our present time is characterized and driven by a growing awareness of how connected we all are spiritually, socially and ecologically and hence our increased desire to live in harmony. To create a world where  all people live peaceful and fulfilling lives. The ZEITGEIST movement was originally formed by Peter Joseph as an activist branch to promote a new socioeconomic and environmental system developed by Jacque Fresco called the Venus project.  However the zeitgeist idea has grown to recognize all progressive ideas in our time that can be used to make our world a better place.

One of the main systems identified as being at the roots of our problems is our system of economics,  not only does it encourage greed and disparity the monetary system itself has been shown to be inherently flawed. The zeitgeist movement encourages people to consider  A RESOURCE BASED ECONOMY as a more appropriate option.
