Calendar design and how it influences our well being
It is important that we understand how powerful and influential our calendar system is, how its design affects our way of life. Our calendar system is more than just a tool for measuring and recording time. It is a social construct and through its design influences how we work, rest and play. Our calendar system creates the foundations and framework for all other social organizational systems to fit within. Our calendar essentially acts as a civilization's backbone and its design impacts us at the core of our being.
Currently we do not have a global cultural calendar system that celebrates all people as one.
